QUICK TIPS: How to Grow Your Personal Brand

So you want to grow your personal brand on LinkedIn, but you are feeling stuck 😵‍💫

We get it, it’s noisy out there. You are watching people seemingly “crush it” all around you and instead of that motivating you, you feel despondent and meh 🫤

Here are some simple steps to get you moving with success.

1. Ring the bell 🔔 on 10 - 20 industry Influencers (leaders) profile pages and 10 high value company pages (could be clients, prospects or next potential employer) - this will ensure relevant (interesting) content appears in your feed so you’ve got some good stuff to engage with.

2. Write Down a Laundry List of “Hot Topics” that You are Interested in (or expert in) that you could share insight around. These topics will then guide you in posts to create.

3. Write Another List of “Sources”
- industry publications, blogs, YouTube channels, news sources etc - this will save you time when looking for high quality content. Save these sites as favourites on your browser.

4. Schedule your Posting - This keeps you accountable 🥸 - LINKEDIN FOR BREAKFAST - 3 Times a week for 40 mins

5. Mix Up Your Posts - storytelling, insights, knowledge, people & culture - experiment with different formats - video, carousel images, Linkedin articles, polls, infographics, PDFs

6. Be YOU - inject personality into your LinkedIn posts - humanise your personal professional brand - people like people, especially good, smart, insightful people ❤️
